Karijini Eco Retreat

Karijini Eco Retreat is one of Australia's leading eco-tourism attractions. Situated 1,500km north of Perth in WAs second largest national park, the retreat offers safari-style eco tents, cabins and campsites nestled amongst native bushland at the edge of Joffre Gorge (Jijingunha), along with an outback restaurant and bar, and access to the parks walks and guided adventure tours.
100% Aboriginal-owned by Gumala Aboriginal Corporation, serving the Banjima, Yinhawangka and Nyiyaparli people of the Pilbara region in Western Australia. Stay under the stars in the campground, or in comfortable glamping accommodations. Explore a wonderland of ancient natural landscapes formed more than two billion years ago, from deep gorges, red cliffs, towering waterfalls and emerald, green waterholes, while experiencing a taste of genuine mateship and friendly hospitality.
Cheela Plains
Cheela Plains Station Stay is an oasis located between Karijini National Park and Ningaloo Reef offering a range of accommodation options comprising of shady campground sites set amongst lush green lawns, wilderness bush campsites in the Beasley River Gorge and accommodation rooms utilizing shared and ensuite amenities.
The station is the perfect travel stop along the long stretch of road between the reef and ranges whether you are staying the night (or 3!) or just stopping by to check out their famous homemade carrot cake and barista coffee. Besides their café, Cheela Plains also offers a restaurant, 4x4 Self-Drive Safari which includes exploring the beautiful Pilbara landscape, swimming, and hiking, and plenty of other facilities on site!
The grounds are situated one kilometre south of the bitumen highway and are accessible by two-wheel drive vehicles.
Team Cheela welcomes guests to stop in and connect with the West Australian Pilbara and all the rugged landscape has to offer. Settle in for a magnificent sunset and while around the campfire witness the Southern Hemisphere night sky come to life.
Exmouth Adventure Co
Join the local guides from Exmouth Adventure Co. for a unique experience exploring beautiful UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef. Exmouth Adventure Co specialises in small group eco tours based out of Exmouth, Western Australia.
Sea kayak Ningaloo: imagine gliding silently over clear turquoise waters in your sea kayak, whilst spotting some of Ningaloo's abundant wildlife like turtles, rays, and schools of colourful fish. Your snorkel and mask are at the ready so you can explore the stunning coral reefs and marine life. Get off the beaten track and immerse yourself in the real Ningaloo on our small group sea kayak and snorkel eco tours.
